Meeting you where you’re at.
Here’s how it works
1
Free consultation.
We’ll start with a quick, 15-minute phone call to see if we’re a good fit. This is a chance for us to meet, talk briefly about your goals, and ensure that my approach resonates with you. No pressure, just a friendly chat!
2
Create a plan.
Once we’ve decided we’re a good fit, we’ll work together to create a personalized plan. This will include an achievable timeline to meet your unique goals, and the steps we’ll take to help you feel supported and empowered throughout the process.
3
Dive in.
Now that we’ve got our plan in place, we dive in! We’ll work together at your pace, focusing on building the skills and strategies you need to move toward lasting change. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and my approach is tailored to fit you, whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, or personal growth.
"Therapy isn’t one size fits all, and Jess gets that. By taking the time to really listen, understand, and empathize, she makes me feel seen."

I don’t directly accept insurance, but that doesn’t mean insurance can’t help with covering your sessions. As an out-of-network provider, I can provide you with a super bill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, depending on your plan.

Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give me at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will be subject to a cancellation fee. If you miss an appointment without notifying me, the full session fee will be charged. This policy helps ensure that I can offer those time slots to other clients who need support.

Informed consent is an essential part of the therapy process. It’s a way for us to talk through the details of our work together, including confidentiality, your rights, and what you can expect. It’s meant to ensure that you fully understand the therapy process and can make an informed decision about proceeding. We’ll review everything during our first session, and I’ll answer any questions you might have before we get started.

I offer virtual therapy to clients across New Jersey, so location won’t be an issue. I’m based in South Orange, but we can connect from the comfort of your home or anywhere that’s convenient for you.

The first session is all about getting to know each other and setting the foundation for our work together. We’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and what you hope to achieve. I’ll also ask about your background and any life experiences that are relevant to your therapy journey. My goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and confident about moving forward.

Therapy provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. It helps you gain insight into patterns in your life, develop coping strategies, and build resilience. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or trauma, therapy can improve your self-awareness, offer tools for navigating life’s challenges, and help you move toward healing and growth.

Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and it’s important to find someone who feels like the right fit. During our free consultation, we’ll chat about your needs and goals, and I’ll explain my approach to therapy. This is a great opportunity for you to decide if I’m the right fit. If, at any point, you feel you need a different perspective or approach, it’s completely okay to explore other options. My goal is to make sure you feel confident and comfortable with your choice.

Absolutely! I work with people who are new to therapy all the time. It’s completely normal to feel unsure or anxious before starting, and I’m here to guide you through the process. We’ll work together at your own pace, and I’ll make sure to explain anything you need. Therapy is a collaborative experience, and I want you to feel safe and supported every step of the way.

Yes, confidentiality is one of the cornerstones of therapy. Everything we discuss stays between us unless you give me written permission to share it. There are a few exceptions (for example, if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others, or in cases of child abuse), but these are rare. I’ll always make sure to explain these exceptions clearly before we begin, so you’re fully informed about your privacy rights.
